Vahedi lab
The Vahedi laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania (www.vahedilab.com) is seeking a highly motivated experimental biologist to join our interdisciplinary team. Our lab combines cutting-edge single-cell genomics, epigenetics, and imaging technologies with computational approaches to unravel the mechanisms of immune cell fate decisions in health and disease.
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will lead projects that bridge molecular biology, immunology, and systems biology, leveraging innovative techniques such as:
- Single-cell multi-omics (scRNA-seq, scATAC-seq, Multiome)
- High-resolution imaging (RNA/DNA FISH)
- Functional genomics and CRISPR-based perturbations
Ideal Candidate
- A recent or upcoming PhD graduate in immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or related fields
- Strong expertise in genome-wide assays, next-generation sequencing, or advanced imaging
- Prior experience with single-cell technologies is highly desirable
- Prior experience with immunology in particular T cell biology is highly desirable
- Enthusiasm for collaborative, interdisciplinary research at the interface of experimental and computational biology
Why Join Us?
- Work in a dynamic, supportive, and productive lab environment (check out our lab culture on https://www.instagram.com/vahedilaboratory/)
- Access to state-of-the-art facilities at UPenn’s Perelman School of Medicine
- Affiliation with leading institutes: Department of Genetics, Epigenetics Institute, and Institute for Immunology
- Funding support from NIH (4D Nucleome, HIRN Consortium), Burroughs Wellcome Fund, and other prestigious grants
We value creativity, teamwork, and scientific rigor. If you’re excited about decoding immune cell regulation through innovative experimental approaches, we’d love to hear from you!
