Tenured professors or tenured associate professors from universities at home and abroad, or high-caliber talents from research institutions at home and abroad; have achieved internationally recognized academic achievements in their field of study; demonstrate strong scientific expertise and broad academic vision, and excellent organizational leadership abilities.

Recruitment Information

1. Position Rank

Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor

2. Annual salary and start-up package

Tsinghua SIGS will provide a highly competitive salary, commensurate with experience and accomplishments. A research start-up package will also be provided for qualified faculty.

3. Student and postdoctoral recruitment

Tsinghua SIGS will finance up to 3 Ph.D. students each year and provide a competitive salary package for post-doctoral researchers for faculty members.

Qualifications

1. A doctoral or equivalent degree in a relevant academic area is required.

2. Postdoctoral research experience or at least two years of working experience at a university or research institute is normally required.

3. Research experience across various fields and institutions and strong teaching performance are preferred.

4. Candidates should be able to demonstrate strong communication, teaching and leadership skills in English as well as the ability to actively contribute to the rapidly growing research efforts at Tsinghua SIGS.

5. A strong commitment to teaching and supervising postgraduate students is essential. Teaching responsibilities will include participation in and development of graduate courses and strong engagement with Tsinghua SIGS’s core curriculum. Supervision of PhD and MSc students and academic mentoring of trainees at all levels is also expected.

1. Faculty Positions in Mass Spectrometry-Related Fields

Research Area

Tsinghua SIGS invites outstanding scholars to join a strategic initiative in mass spectrometry-related research. The program aims to advance the frontiers of the field through interdisciplinary innovation spanning analytical technologies, data science, biomedicine, and artificial intelligence (AI). Supported by state-of-the-art facilities in mass spectrometry, biomedical research, and high-performance computing, the program provides a dynamic and collaborative environment for cutting-edge research at the intersection of analytical science, biology, medicine, and artificial intelligence.

2. Positions in Institute for Brain Research Advanced Interfaces and Neurotechnologies (i-BRAIN)

Research Platform:

Founded by world-renowned scientist Prof. Charles Lieber, i-BRAIN is seeking visionary leaders to build ultra-high-channel-count neural interfaces for next-gen Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) platforms. Candidates should have the ability to lead nonhuman primate (NHP) research efforts focused on implementation of novel electrophysiological probe technologies within the context of cognitive and motor disease models, as well as assist with rodent research efforts using such technologies for model studies and treatments of neurodegenerative disease and stroke.

3. Postdoc/Research Positions in Life Quality Engineering Group

Research Area:

Human nutrition is now recognised as a dynamic process which affects our lives in a time-dependent way. Energy and mass balances are dynamic and are linked to our health situations including psychological states. Chemical engineering principles are crucially important in understanding these processes in space and in time. Treating the human body as a chemical factory is one way to reveal these processes. Candidates with a strong background in chemical reaction engineering, particularly in simulation, are encouraged to apply. Those who have studied bio-related topics, experimental works included, are preferred.

4. Positions in the Multiscale Cell Engineering Laboratory

Research Area: Candidates with research interests in engineering and cryobanking stem cells (particularly, human induced pluripotent stem cells), immune cells, and their derivatives (e.g., organoids and exosomes) using micro, nano, and quantum-scale materials and devices (e.g., CRISPR-Cas, 2D materials, nanoparticles, and microfluidics) together with AI, are welcome to apply. Our goal is to develop novel and ingenious technologies and platforms for the early detection and treatment of various diseases including but not limited to cancer, cardiovascular diseases, infertility, diabetes, and neurological disorders.

Future Human Habitats:

Centered on the design thinking philosophy of Future Human Habitats, the discipline has developed three key research directions: Digital Architectural Design and Intelligent Construction (AI + Design & Construction); Smart Urban Planning and Urban Systems (AI + Urban Systems); Intelligent Building Technology and Humanities (AI + Humanities) . Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School (SIGS) is a public graduate education institution jointly established by Tsinghua University and the Shenzhen Municipal Government against the backdrop of national efforts to deepen higher education reform and promote the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
